The Jagged Throne - Skyrim RP

A fully player-run war for the throne of Skyrim

Nine Holds. One Crown.
Who will claim the Jagged Throne?

The High King is dead and the Moot is broken. The Jagged Crown lies unclaimed. Nine Holds, and every House that can raise a banner believes the throne is theirs.

The War

The crown is a seat you bleed to win, and bleed to keep.

Found or join a House. Hold territory. Press a claim, declare war, and fight it out in open-world PvP. Every lord, soldier, and spy on the field is a real person.

Three roads to the throne

Given by the vote. Taken by the sword. Stolen by the knife.

I

The Vote

Win the Jarls over by gift, marriage, or fear, and let the Moot set the crown on your head with every Hold watching.

II

The War

Raise your banners in open rebellion. Take the Holds one by one until no Jarl dares vote against the sword at his gate.

III

The Knife

The assassin's road clears the way. But murder a king and you win nothing but infamy. The crown is never simply seized.

The Coronation Rite

Claim the Jagged Throne
Sit the seat your rivals died for.
Take up the Jagged Crown
Lift it from the seat. Let the realm see.
Be named High King
And learn what it costs to keep it.

Power is mortal  ·  Kings and Jarls carry true permadeath. The crown can be lost as violently as it was won.

Paths of Power

You don't have to be born a lord.

The realm runs on its people. The smith who arms the host matters as much as the general who leads it, and every High King started as someone.

Eight trades

Dabble in any. Master one.

The Climb
A commoner with a trade can be sworn into a House, granted a court title, and rise. Serve well, marry well, or betray well. The ladder has no bottom rung it respects.

Intrigue & Betrayal

Every oath can be broken. The Chronicle remembers.

The realm is bound by pacts, marriages, and oaths of fealty. Marry to forge a claim. Swear fealty for protection. Betray your liege for a crown.

But break an oath and you are branded oathbreaker for the whole realm to see, and no Moot crowns a traitor.

Marriage
A wedding is a treaty with witnesses. A claim can be forged in a bedchamber as surely as a forge.
Fealty
Kneel and be protected. Rise and be hunted. Your liege's wars become yours, until you decide otherwise.
The Hidden
Vampires and werewolves walk hidden within the guilds. Some among you are not what they seem. Expose one, and the hunt is on.

The Roads

Coin does not teleport. It travels.

A hold's taxes and the crown's tribute move by caravan across long roads, and a bold House can bleed the King on the highway without ever facing his army. Escort your gold. Or take someone else's.

Solitude
Ambush
Windhelm
4,200 septims of crown tribute
